Big earthquake hits South Island
A large (7.1 on ye olde Richter scale) earthquake hit the South Island of NZ at midnight last night, just off the mouth of Doubtful Sound. Power off in a few places near Te Anau (where we met), pictures off walls, etc. We didn't feel it ourselves in Christchurch (Evie was snoring too loudly), but exciting none the less!

trying this out
First time I've found time to write to this! Life has changed somewhat, even hosted my first 'coffee morning' this morning. (just an excuse to swap stories really).

Evie takes her first bottle
After getting the temperature right this time, Evie seems happy enough to take a bottle from Dad, which should make Mum's life a bit easier from time to time. Still only enjoying baths if somebody else gets in with her. :-( All in all, life's pretty good, except for regular hiccups. We get to go back to the subsequent antenatal course next Monday to tell all the next prospective Mums & Dads how easy it all is - yeah, like we're experts by now... ;-)
