Amy’s Birthday at Clip ‘N’ Climb

It’s that crazy birthday time of year when all of Evie’s friends have their birthdays (Evie’s is tomorrow), so it’s a continuous round of parties at the minute.

Spot the difference!

What a difference a year makes. This time last year we were working through ideas & plans with Craig Boslem, and I put together my Google Sketchup model and rendered it to produce some "artists impressions". It's great to see how the real thing compares now the scaffolding has come down. Still a fair bit of work to do inside, although the drain-layer, plumber, and log-burner installer should all be in residence this week.

Evie came first in her 3rd Rhythmic Gymnastics competition!

Evie's just loving her gymnastics, and getting some results too, including a trophy this time too. We're delighted for her, we're not pushing her at it, but she's just thriving.

Tricky getting decent shots in what from a photography point of view is a reasonably low-light environment...

Kids first taste of skiing at Porters this year

Ruairi's first time on snow, Evie's second, and they had a blast. 2 mornings up at Porters and after they seemed keen, we signed them up for a lesson each morning. Evie "gets" it already, and is snow-ploughing and stopping like a good thing. Ruairi less so, getting so distracted by everything else going on around him. Both managed the button lift a couple of times on their second lesson.

Roof finished

The roof is finished, so it's the window manufacturer's turn to cock things up, by making our 2 large north-facing triangular windows a little on the small side. Like 500mm too small. So they're frantically getting a replacement pair made by their subcontractor and they should be going in tomorrow at the same time as the scaffolding is coming down.
