E headed up to Auckland with her Canterbury team-mates for the National Gymsports Championships after qualifying 12th nationally (have to qualify in the top 20 to compete in the National Champs). Her goal was to finish in the top 10 which was a tough goal for her having finished 17th last year and competing against quite a lot of older girls who regularly beat her at other competitions. She was delighted to finish 9th overall, which is a great way to finish her gymnastics career as she’s decided that she would like to have some more time during the week to try other activities, starting with a rock-climbing program at The YMCA Roxx this week…
